Bay Area pianist and composer Larry Vuckovich has been a fixture in the San Francisco modern jazz scene since the heyday of Bop City in the 50's. Larry began his professional career in 1959 with the legendary Lester Young inspired tenor saxophonist Brew Moore and went on to have a successful 25-year association with vocalist and lyricist Jon Hendricks, appearing at major festivals and clubs around the country and the world. He returns to Yoshi's to celebrate the release of his new CD Street Scene with Akira Tana on drums, Jeff Chambers on bass and Hector Lugo on percussion.
