"'Before the Teardown: Minneapolis in 1960' Opening Reception

A public reception and talk by architecture critic Larry Millett will open the exhibit "Before the Teardown: Minneapolis in 1960" a photographic look at Minneapolis on the eve of 1960s urban renewal from the Star Tribune archives. Remarks will take place at 7 p.m. A cash bar and light snacks are available. The exhibit is located in the museum’s central Mill Commons, and is free and open to the public during regular museum hours. The exhibit will be on display May 8 - Aug. 31.
Retired Pioneer Press architecture critic Larry Millett has spent more than two decades exploring the architectural heritage of the Twin Cities. He is the author of "Lost Twin Cities," "Twin Cities Then and Now" and the recent AIA Guide to the Twin Cities: The Essential Source on the Architecture of Minneapolis and St. Paul."
