Larrikin Love are totally ace. Their unique brand of weird scatty reggae mixed with cockney rhyming lyrics makes for a brilliant mix and amusing live show. Lead singer Ed looks like a total charity shop nutjob with half his hair in a basin cut and the other half really long, prancing about the stage using a mannequin’s arm to hit a cowbell furiously. Rest of the band have the same jumble sale attitude towards clothing and play their instruments like they are actually enjoying themselves, something which should be celebrated!

The band have recently released ‘Downing Street Kindling’ on 7” and CD, which is a mad catchy tune and represents the Larrikin Love signature sound. They have umpteen festival appearances this summer and plan to have their debut album out early autumn. It promises to be amazing - a blend of poetry, hiphop, dub and urchin melodies. Larrikin Love are a breath of fresh air in the current musical climate and are a delight to watch.
