Why travel to the mainland for expensive study courses? For the first time in 10 years, Hawaii ASLA is pleased to offer LARE review workshops in Honolulu-- April 2009!
Join us April 17-19 for a three day review of Section E and the following weekend April 24-26 for review of Sections A-D.
Event Details:
Experienced Instructors:Our instructors, Jerry Hastings and Jay Rodriguez, hail from UCLA and have been presenting LARE review workshops throughout the western United States for over 20 years.
What you get and what itll cost:Each workshop consists for a thorough section review, practice problems, and take-home studymaterials for students. Cost is $300 per workshop for ASLA members and $400 per workshop fornon-members. Class size is limited to 20 seats, availability on a first come, first serve basis. RSVPand $100 deposits must be received by mail byMarch 18, and all payment must be received in full by April1. (Online payment is in full, so online registration may occur until April 1.) After RSVPs, students will receive additional workshop-specific information and instructions.
The Format:Section E, grading and drainage, will be presented during the first weekend, April 17-19. Section C,site design, will be presented the following Friday and Saturday, while SectionsA, B, and D(multiplechoice) will be discussed Sunday April 26.
Why you should take it:This is an excellent opportunity for young professionals who have little time to review or travel tothe mainland for LARE reviews or for those who need updated study materials. 7 out of 10(70%)of examinees pass Sections A, B,and Don their first attempt, while only 3 out of 10 (30%) pass SectionsCand E. The workshops can boost your chances to 85-90% for Sections A, B, and D and to 70% for SectionsC and E. The passing rate of the exams is exponentially increased.
