Anthony Rowe is an artist, researcher and founder member of experimental digital arts group Squidsoup.
Squidsoup combine sound, physical space and virtual worlds to produce immersive and emotive headspaces. They explore the modes and effects of interactivity, looking to make digital experiences where meaningful and creative interaction can occur. Above all, they aim to allow participants to take active control of these experiences.
Their work has been shown at several dozen festivals, seminars and galleries around the world including Late at Tate Britain, several Future of Sound events, Futuresonic, ISEA, Sonar, SIGGRAPH and, most recently, Late at the V&A.
Anthony will be showing and discussing several Squidsoup projects, and framing them into a narrative that leads to his current research into interaction and visualization techniques in three physical dimensions.
Squidsoup’s work is documented online at www.squidsoup.org.
