Language Development is Child's Play May 25, 2011

A child’s speech and language development begins at birth; and a parent or caregiver is often the most influential supporter of a young child’s development. Fortunately, encouraging speech and language can be as simple as a game, a song, or a story. This presentation will address typical language development and provide practical strategies for supporting a child’s language development during play and daily routines.
Presented by Beth Salz, M.S., CCC-SLP Beth Salz, M.S., CCC-SLP is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH and Boston University. She is the Associate Clinical Services Manager at the University Center for the Development of Language and Literacy (UCLL), where she is the lead speech-language pathologist in an intensive language program for toddlers and preschool-aged children. Beth also works closely with families to evaluate and treat children of all ages with language disorders.
