Join our Land Manager and his volunteer team of Land Stewards to preserve and restore Louisville Metro Parks Natural Areas. A current focus is on restoration work at Caperton Swamp, 3916 River Road. This beautiful area is a haven for bird and wildlife, but is under siege by invasive plants. Removal efforts have already cleared several acres of this 29-acre park, with the goal to follow up with native planting in the fall and spring. Similar projects exist in other areas as well. To assist with these efforts, individuals are welcome at regularly scheduled project days (every Wednesday, and first Saturday of each month) at 9:00 a.m.
