Marking the 40th anniversary of the ubiquitous Range Rover, Tilford's museum of country life, the Rural Life Centre, is hosting its sixth annual Land Rover Rally this year on Sunday 10 October.
Each year this rally has grown in numbers and the variety of versions of the classic vehicles that take part. In the past these have varied from emergency service vehicles to others representing their design purpose of a 'do-it-all' farm runabout.
In 2009 almost 70 vehicles took part in the event and this year all comers are welcome so long as there is sufficient space within the ten acre museum site. If you'd like to book beforehand visit the museum's website at www.rural-life.org.uk.
