Ladysmith Black Mambazo July 17, 2005

A multiple Grammy-winning vocal ensemble, Ladysmith Black Mambazo is recognized worldwide for their intricate rhythms and harmonies, drawn from the musical traditions of South Africa.

Opening the afternoon will be the East Bay-based Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir, performing spirituals and traditional African-American songs with a mix of R&B and funk.

Stern Grove Festival Association is a non-profit organization committed to providing the people of the Bay Area with admission-free access to diverse performing arts.

Every year since 1938, the organization presents Stern Grove Festival, an admission-free, performing arts series, in a beautiful outdoor amphitheater in San Francisco.
