About LADYFINGERS
LADYFINGERS is the alter ego of eccentric New Jersey-born artist, Adam Weiner. His music is a spastic brew of lo-fi rock, rockabilly, punk, and cabaret stylings. Weiner developed the Ladyfingers aesthetic of wiggy theatrics and self-depracation while living and performing in New York City for 8 years. Drawing from such artists as Tom Waits, Ween, Hasil Adkins, and Cab Calloway, Weiner’s live shows are a rush of nervous energy and dark humor. His “rubber room boogie-woogie” (Connect Savannah), finds him yelping and crooning his heart out over a flood of gnarly guitar, slinky whorehouse piano, and his patented hard maple stompbox. With his hair piled high, and his eyes popping, Ladyfingers morphs from a yelping Nu-Elvis, to a menacing carnival charlatan, to a smarmy cabaret crooner…all within a few tender moments.

In 2006, Weiner released the first official Ladyfingers album, “MY PROM”, featuring the bracing, hiccupy single “Cure for the Common Cold” (featured in an upcoming MTV UK episode of Dirty Sanchez). The record received significant indie and college airplay all over the U.S. and Canada. Besides numerous shows in North America, Weiner has consistently toured the U.K., France, and Germany (the Europeans really appreciate the Ladyfingers schtick a lot!), and played the NXNE Festival in Toronto, SXSW in Austin, and CMJ in Manhattan. Audiences in various gin joints from Berlin to New Orleans have witnessed the striking energy of Herr Ladyfingers.

In 2008, Weiner released a full-length collection of demos and bedroom tapes called "MY HANDBOOK". The record, which was recorded in various motel rooms and warehouses across America, features the psycho-midget porn-abilly of "Lite FM" and the sad-sack lo-fi classic "Genius Friends". In reviewing the record the LA Weekly said this of Ladyfingers: "He is a self-contained, self-aware and self-propelled song factory, obviating the need for rock critics. Mr.Ladyfingers sluices his raw ballads and electric-guitar-backed shuffles with a mournful beauty that goes beyond simple jokiness."

In April 2009, Ladyfingers releases OPEN YOUR ROBE, a collection of piercing and pierced love songs. It will be a self-release both on vinyl record and pay-what-you-want digital upload. He will be touring the US in May and June to promote the album.

Ladyfingers is an independent artist. He has no management, label affiliation, booking agent, or personal stylist. He performs all these duties for himself. Are you impressed?
