“Labor of Love” 5k Race/Walk, 1 Mile Walk, Kids Events September 7, 2009

The “Labor of Love” event is hosted by the Downers Grove Noon Lions Club

Come, participate, and enjoy our first ever welcome to all “Labor of Love”. Enjoy the food, live music, prizes and ribbons and so much more at this Labor Day Event! It will lift the human spirit. This is a timed event on a certified course for the non-impaired and the physically and mentally impaired.
Race will start behind firehouse at 6701 Main St. at 8:00AM. and run on the streets adjacent to McCollum Park.
We hope to have volunteer guide runners for the visually impaired. Wheelchair participants are of course welcome.

Adults: $25
Youths: $20 (under 18)
Families: $75
Kid’s events free
Volunteer guide runners free

Guest participant MTV’s “True Life” star Rebecca of “I want the perfect body."
Music will be provided by the well known local band “Tomorrow’s Alliance.”
