La Vernia Greater Parks Foundation 9th Annual BBQ Cookoff August 13, 2010

The highlight of the annual BBQ Cookoff is the IBCA-sanctioned BBQ cooking competition, where teams compete for the best BBQ chicken, beef, and ribs. Cooking teams come from across the state and are very competitive about their cooking techniques and recipes.
This is a 2-day family event with something for everyone. Carnival, vendors and food booths will open and the fun begins. Auction on Saturday afternoon. All proceeds from this event go towards helping the La Vernia Park Foundation meet its main goal and objective : Making park improvements!
