LA Prostate Cancer 5K November 6, 2011

USC Hosts the 2nd Annual L.A. Prostate Cancer 5K Benefitting Prostate Cancer Research and Treatment.

Stop prostate cancer in its tracks by joining thousands at the 2nd Annual L. A. Prostate Cancer 5K on Sunday, November 6. The L.A. Prostate Cancer 5K is the only event of its kind in California honoring prostate cancer patients, survivors and loved ones who have passed away because of the disease. Runners, joggers and walkers of all levels are encouraged to participate in this 5K to be held at the University of Southern California. In addition to the 5K, there will be a health expo where attendees will learn about the latest in prostate cancer treatments and research. There will also be live entertainment and participants will receive free giveaways.

Event highlights
- Pre-run warm-up with Celebrity Fitness Guru.
- Welcome by Dr. Inderbir Gill (USC Institute of Urology Chairman).
- Course is flat and fast in and around the USC campus.
- All participants will receive a 2011 L.A. Prostate Cancer 5K T-shirt, and prizes will be awarded to top finishers and randomly to event participants.
- Electronic timing is available.
- Health expo located in Alumni Park featuring food, beverages and health information specific to prostate cancer. USC faculty physicians will be at the expo to answer questions about early detection of prostate cancer and new treatment options.
