La Posada’s “Concerts for Casa” Music Series January 30, 2010

During the months of January and February, La Posada is delivering a delightful variety of music, exciting activities and a place for the community to come together for charity through its new “Concerts for” Music Series. This year’s inaugural event is “Concerts for Casa”, which will benefit Casa de Esperanza and Casa’s Los Niños del Valle.

The series will consist of six concerts, one each Saturday starting January 23, from noon to 2 p.m. Live musical performances from local bands will take place from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in The Shoppes at La Posada courtyard. In addition to music, fundraising activities such as silent auctions, raffles and drawings will be held to help raise needed funds.

The concerts are free to the public; however, cash donations are gratefully accepted during each concert event. In addition, Posada Java will donate the proceeds from gross sales made during the event as additional support for Casa de Esperanza and Casa’s Los Niños del Valle.

On January 30, feet will be tapping along to the tunes of the Big Band Express Trio, who specialize in jazz.
