LA Modern: Downtown Renaissance and the Emergence of an Eastside Design, A Luncheon with Designer John Sofio will be hosted at ROYALE on wilshire Restaurant on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 1:00pm. From Silverlake to the Wilshire Corridor to the revitalization of Downtown an eastside aesthetic has been born which confronts the challenges of historical appreciation, the legacy of modern design in Los Angeles, and the all-important concept of function.
