**The Expo is free but the Convention Center does charge $12 for parking. The Marathon derives no revenue from the parking fees.
ENTRANTS’ PACKET PICK UP
• ALL entrants must pick up their packet which includes their timing chip, bib, T-shirt and goodie bag at the Emerald Nuts Quality of Life Expo. You MUST have your confirmation card with you and present it at the time of pickup.
• A friend or family member may pick up the packet if they bring the entrant’s confirmation card plus a copy of the entrant’s photo ID and a note signed by the entrant authorizing the pick up.
OFFICIAL RACE T-SHIRT
All entrants will receive one T-shirt. No T-shirts or goodies bags will be mailed. Additional official LA Marathon merchandise will be available for purchase atthe Emerald Nuts Quality of Life Expo.

MEDICAL SUPPORT & WATER STATIONS
• There is medical support at both the Start and Finish Lines and along the course. Medical vans are staged at miles 6, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 22, and 24. Medical tents are located at the Finish Line at 5th and Flower Streets, as well as inside the Family Reunion Festival. A massage tent is also located inside the Family Reunion Festival.
• There are fully-staffed water stations at each mile. Please note that due to space constraints, there will be no water station at Mile 1.
• Gatorade Sports Drink Stations are located at every odd number mile beginning at Mile 3.
• The Salon Pas Pain Relief Zones are located between Mile 19 as well as the Finish Line.
• There are portable bathrooms located along the entire course and at the Finish Line.
POST RACE
• The Elite Runners awards will take place at 5th and Flower in front of the Library on the Honda Stage.
• Be sure to remove and return your timing chip. Failure to return the chip with result in a $30 replacement fee.
• All entrants who finish the Marathon will receive a finisher’s medal, a picture proof, a results book and a finisher’s certificate.
• In the runners’ Post Food & Fluid area, you’ll find water, Robeks Juice, Gatorade Sports Drink, Emerald Nuts and other healthy, delicious items.
• Following the race, be sure to join the other participants at the Finish Line Festival located at 3rd and Flower. There will be exciting entertainment, booths, food and drink.

• How do I volunteer for the Los Angeles Marathon? Visit the Los Angeles Marathon website and click on the “Volunteer” tab…or send an email to raceinfo@lamarathon.com with all your contact information and the area where you would like to volunteer…or call 310-444-5544.
• Who are the L.A. Marathon sponsors? The Los Angeles Marathon is presented by Honda. The Broadcasting sponsors are NBC4 and Telemundo 52. Other sponsors included American Airlines, Emerald Nuts, Banco Popular and Saucony.
• What is the average temperature at the start? 59 degrees Fahrenheit
• What are the course records?

• How many clocks on the course? 25, one at every mile except Mile 26.
• Where are the recommended viewing locations? The Entertainment Centers located along the course or you can watch the race on television on NBC4 and Telemundo 52. CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood will host a viewing party in the plaza outside the Hard Rock Café.
• How many spectators are expected? Over one million.
• What’s the best way for spectators to get around on Race Day? Spectators should use the Metro system which has 7 stops on the Red Line that sync up with the Marathon course from start to finish.
• Can I run the Los Angeles Marathon without registering? No, all runners without LA Marathon bibs will be directed off the course immediately.
• Are wheelchair participants permitted? Yes, there is a separate wheelchair division.
• Are walkers permitted? Yes, walkers and race walkers are part of the L.A. Marathon. However, walkers are asked to start near the end of the pack to avoid being crowded or bumped by the runners. It is suggested that walkers and slower participants consider using a fanny pack that accommodates a water bottle.
• Is there a time limit to complete the Marathon? No, however streets re-open to traffic at an approximately 13-minute per mile pace. At that time, participants still on the course will be required to move into the curb lane or on to the sidewalk and obey all traffic signals.
• Are skates, skateboards, bikes or carriages of any kind allowed on the LA Marathon course? No, if you are caught on the Marathon course with any of these, you will be directed off the course immediately.
• Are skates, skateboards or carriages of any kind allowed on the Acura Bike Tour course? No, only bicycles are allowed on the Bike Tour course.
