Kumail Nanjiani spent the first 18 years of his life in Karachi, Pakistan, then made the natural transition to Iowa. He was so excited to leave Iowa four years later that he started performing comedy immediately. If you think that you know everything a Pakistani-Iowan might have to say, think again. Kumail's comedy covers a broad range of topics, from giant squids to units of measurement, from men on the moon to his love of chocolate. He has been featured on Fox News and was a finalist for the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival. He moved to NYC from Chicago in 2007. He started by completing the New York run of his one man show 'Unpronounceable,' at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, and then set up a popular video game talk/sketch show at UCB called 'Game Bros. LIVE!'. He's toured with Stella, Eugene Mirman and Zack Galifianakis, performed at the Bonnaroo music festival, and was voted Best Male Standup in New York in 2008 by the ECNY Awards. He has also been featured on 'Saturday Night Live' and 'The Colbert Report,' done standup on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' and will soon be seen on Comedy Central's 'Michael and Michael Have Issues.'
