Kshetram - Dancing the Divine June 15, 2007

SAMPRADAYA Dance Creations is pleased to present kshetram - dancing the divine, a beautiful and evocative multi-media dance production conceived and choreographed by its acclaimed Artistic Director Lata Pada. Inspired by India's stunning temple sites and majestic deities, kshetram fuses devotional poetry with the music and dance of India to create a timeless work of depth and beauty. A celebration of classical Indian dance. kshetram is comprised of seven pieces that include elegant solos performed by Lata Pada, dynamic duets performed by Pada and India's Sathyanarayana Raju, and SAMPRADAYA's ensemble of eight dancers. kshetram premieres on June 15 at 8pm and June 16 at 2pm and 8pm at Harbourfront Centre's Premiere Dance Theatre.
