In recognition of Japan's national holiday to celebrate children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness, the JCCCNC presents our annual Children's Day Festival in Japantown. The event will feature a wide range of live traditional Japanese performances (Taiko & Dance), performances by local youth groups, a bouncy house and live Mochi Pounding! You're little ones will also be able to participate in hands-on arts & crafts for children and an art contest! Kristi Yamaguchi will also be at the event signing her new book 'It's a Big World Little Pig'.
This event is FREE and is made possible with support from The Japan Ceneter Malls, The Henri and Tomoye Takahashi Charitable Foundation, The Hatsuro and Amey Aizawa Family Charitable Trust, Japan Airlines, Comcast, Union Bank, Consulate General of Japan, Japanese Community Youth Council (JCYC), and Sakura of America.
