Of all the world's leading violinists, Gidon Kremer is one of the most original and compelling. With more than 100 albums to his name, his unusually extensive repertoire includes standard classical and romantic works, music by 20th-century masters, and contemporary composers of Eastern Europe and Russia. No other soloist of his stature has done as much for living composers in the past 30 years.

The Grammy-winning Kremerata Baltica is the realization of his belief that music can overcome all barriers of language and culture.
