The Fall of 2008 has been an absolute treat for electronica freaks in the otherwise electronica-deprived Austin nightlife. With shows like Glitch Mob, Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip, Bassnectar, and MSTRKRFT behind us, I was sure that the string of massive talent visiting our little music capital of the world was just a small fluke in the alignment of the booking universe.
But wait a minute? Do my eyes deceive me? Is this real, or have I just been listening to too much Kraak and Smaak?
Thats right, my friends (or darn tootin for the red amoung us), Kraak & Smaak is bringing their Plastic People Tour to the ATX on Tuesday, November 11th. No lame DJ-set here. The fellas are bringing the entire crew for a full-blown live performance.
Kraak & Smaak has been cranking out tasty morsels of electronic goodness since 2003, gaining widespread acclaim in 2007 after remixes for artists like Jamiroquai, Richard Dorfmeister (yes, K&D baby!), Junkie XL, Soul of Man, Fort Knox Five, and Max Sedgley flew off record store shelves. The Holland-based group has rocked the festival circuit, including stops at Coachella, SXSW, and the Miami Winter Music Conference, and are prominent figures of Hollands electronic music scene.
Kraak & Smaak will perform at the Parish in Austin, TX on Tuesday November 11, 2008. Our favorite electronic groove junkies, OHN, will be opening up - so be there at 8:00pm! Local outfit L.A.X. will also be opening. Tickets are available at Frontgatetickets.com.
