The University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center will host a free event for children with diabetes. The event celebrates Kovler For Kids, the premiere pediatric diabetes program at the Kovler Diabetes Center. The event open to children who are newly diagnosed with diabetes or those living with diabetes 12 years old and younger, as well as their siblings, parents and caregivers.
The interactive morning will begin with breakfast where parents will hear from Lou Philipson, MD, and Elizabeth Littlejohn, MD, about ongoing research taking in diabetes, specific to children at The University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center. Children will get diet and exercise tips and have the opportunity to participate in crafts, fun and educational diabetes games, and an interactive tour of the new science exhibit with Siri Greeley, MD
