The University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center will host Type 1 Diabetes: Innovation in Care and Research, an educational luncheon featuring Dr. Lou Philipson, medical director and president of the ADA Chicago chapter with Amy Hess-Fischl, Diabetes Educator and Registered Dietician. Both will speak to the subject of Type 1 diabetes and provide information about current research as well as nutrition tips.

The University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center is dedicated to continuing a tradition of excellence in clinical care, basic and clinical research, community outreach and education. The mission is to deliver leading-edge care and develop innovative treatments and cures for individuals with diabetes throughout the lifespan. Established in July 2006, the Kovler Diabetes Center has had a significant impact on the diabetes community at the local, regional and national level.
