Komen Houston Race for the Cure October 6, 2007

Participants come from all over the country to honor those who have succumbed to the disease and bring celebratory recognition to the survivors attending the event. The Komen Houston Race for the Cure® raises money each year to fund national research through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Program, innovative breast cancer education, screening and treatment projects for the medically under served in the seven county service area surrounding Houston. To date, the Komen Houston Affiliate has funded projects totaling over $12 million in the Greater Houston area.
