KODO Drummers of Japan Return to Marin Center February 6, 2009

Clad in sweatbands and loincloths, Kodo, 13 men and women, are oftentimes referred to as “samurai percussionists.” This Japanese drumming ensemble returns to the Marin Center as part of their “One Earth Tour,” promoting global unity through the pulse of a powerful drum. Kodo explores the limitless possibilities of traditional Japanese drum, the taiko, forging new directions for this vibrant living art-form.
