KOAN (pronounced Ko - Anne) is a puzzling, often paradoxical statement or story, used in Zen Buddhism as an aid to meditation and a means of gaining spiritual awakening. What's KOAN Sound? It's the electronic duo of Jim Bastow and Will Weeks from Bristol, UK, who may seem up-and-coming to listeners in the states, but have been part of the Dubstep scene overseas since 2005 and perhaps are looking to follow the success of such artists as Skrillex and Pretty Lights.
