King Midas: the Golden Touch August 31, 2010

This exhibit documents life in the small German community of Schweizer in Simpson County, Kentucky. Early in the 19th century amateur photographer Oswald Kummer captured numerous images of his neighbors in both work and play. The prints were made from glass plate negatives donated to the Kentucky Library & Museum.
