Looking for a great end-of-the-summer fun, learning experience for your pre-kindergartener or kindergartener? If so, then join the first annual KinderKamp at Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue in Clive, IA, during the week of August 16-20.
The program comprises two camp sessions--Early Creative Arts and Early Explorers. The Early Creative Arts session, to be held from 9 a.m. to noon, allows children to explore music through movement, along with art projects and large motor games. Children will participate in outdoor fun, stories and water play.
In the Early Explorers session, held from 1 to 4 p.m., children will have the opportunity to explore early reading skills through stories and art. They will also become investigators by discovering early science and math concepts.
All-day campers will bring a sack lunch for meal time from noon to 12:30 p.m. They will participate in devotions and games from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
All lead teachers are professionals in the area of early childhood education and all teachers have passed Faith Lutheran Church's child safety background checks.
The cost for either the morning or the afternoon session is $75 per student. For both sessions, the cost per student is $145. The cost of before or after-care (from 7:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.) is $45 per student, with $50 for both sessions. A fee of $5 will be charged for every 15 minutes of time a child's parents or guardians are late after the aftercare session. There is a $50 non-refundable deposit towards tuition.
