This yearly Christmas tradition features acclaimed vocalist Kim Nalley performing all your favorite holiday songs accompanied by the swelling soulful Hammond B-3 Organ played by the incomparable Tammy Hall with Michael Zisman (electric bass) and Kent Bryson (drums). Expect several special guest and a few sing-a-longs in at this rollicking joyous concert.
Kim Nalley is one of the most international acclaimed soul jazz and blues singers to emerge from San Francisco. Twice awarded as San Francisco’s Best Jazz Singer, she also has numerous acting credits including Madame Zinzanni in Teatro Zinzanni. Her CDs have been shortlisted for a Grammy and have charted in the Jazz Top 20. San Francisco Chronicle says "Nalley is a triple threat -- a powerful blues singer, a song stylist who can put her stamp on American songbook standards and an assertively lascivious vaudevillian with an entire book of bawdy songs brimming with double entendres. Kim Nalley has pipes to burn and works the stage like she means it."
Pianist, Organist, Composer, and Arranger Tammy Lynne Hall is one of the most in-demand musicians in the Bay Area. Born in Dallas she studied classical and competed in classical competitions and was the organist and pianist at church while unbeknownst to her grandmother was sneaking out to listen to the devil's music, jazz. The result was Tammy Hall's core sound: a fusion of Jazz, Gospel and Classical.
