Guitarist and songwriter Kim Churchill is a truly gifted soul. At just 19 years of age, his implausible talent and unique approach to his music is something to be in awe of. Kim’s style is explosive, with intricate fingerpicking, percussive beats on the body of the guitar, and two-handed tapping intertwined with an earthy stomp box, powerful blues harmonica melodies and soulful voice. His songwriting reflects his coastal lifestyle – growing up on the East Coast of Australia, with the surf at his front door - and his new nomadic life on the road. -- -- ASHLIEGH MANNIX, Hailing from a cultural mix that combines the NSW South Coast and the ACT, Ashleigh Mannix is a singer songwriter who is a fresh face to the Australian music scene. With her carefree nature she is combining folk and pop genres to create a unique blend of music that is attracting both local and global attention. Ashleigh is an independent artist and until mid 2008 had no releases in stores. It was her strength as a live artist which caught the attention of the music industry. She was invited to perform at the relaunch of The Rolling Stone magazine where she was introduced as “unknown and unsigned” performing alongside Neil Finn, Powderfinger and The Living End to a packed Horden Pavillion. -- -- CARTER ROLLINS, From a young age Justin Carter and Johnny Rollins embraced the surf culture that surrounded them. This culture has been an integral part of the creative drive that has seen the evolution of Carter Rollins. Onjuku Sun is the name of their new album, due out in mid 2011, and is by far their most complete musical achievement to date. Onjuku Sun is a collection of songs written by Carter Rollins whilst on the road in their recent Japanese and Australian tours.
