DUNNY is a 3 dimensional vinyl canvas made by the urban vinyl company, Kidrobot. Originally designed by Kidrobot Founder Paul Budnitz and Illustrator Tristan Eaton, Dunny is a curved bunny with a smooth face, a blank canvas designed to be repainted and reinterpreted by artists from many different backgrounds. Many world-famous artists have designed DUNNYs and over 400 Dunny’s have been produced to date. For many, the Dunny is a fun and affordable way to collect & display these unique works of art. Kidrobot releases approximately two Dunny series per year, many with a theme for either the artist collective themselves, or the design of the toy. Past releases have included the Azteca series, which highlighted the works of Mexican artists, the French series, which featured French artists, as well as numbered series with combine the talents of artist spanning the globe. The next series to be released is “Ye Olde English” series, which features the art of English talents such as Jon Burgerman, TADO, Clutter, Peskimo, Hi Calorie x Julie West, Keanan Duffy and more!
People form all over the world collect this tiny art medium, and on the release date of each new series, trading parties are held worldwide to celebrate the release by bringing fans together for the unveiling on the newest series. Attendees are welcome to purchase and trade not only the current Dunny series, but pieces from past and other series, artwork and more! The fun is in the community event and the sharing and trading of these wonderful pieces of art. Many families find this a fun introduction for their children into the world of art, hobby & collecting.
