Kentucky Writers Day Celebration April 23, 2010

In honor and celebration of the state's designated Kentucky Writers Day on April 24, the birthday of Robert Penn Warren, noted writers, authors, poets and songwriters read and perform their own work and the work of others at The Oak Barrel in downtown Lebanon, Historic Penn's Store in Gravel Switch just outside Lebanon.

General admission and parking are free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and come enjoy the festivities. Even better, bring your own writings or songs and perform before an open mic. Books and CDs are available for purchase and authors and artists will sign their work. Food is available from Spirits of Kentucky (Kentucky Proud certified), plants, herbs and flowers will be available from Steve's Plants and African American Haitian Artwork will be available by Yolantha Pace.
