Kenny Loggins to Perform in Catalina's Legendary Ballroom August 10, 2008

In a creative journey that's encompassed over three decades of hit singles and more than twelve albums exceeding platinum status, Kenny Loggins has found his way Back to Avalon for the very first time...Avalon, Santa Catalina Island.

On Sunday, August 10, 2008, Kenny Loggins and his band will be performing for the first time in the legendary Casino Ballroom, a 1929 Art Deco masterpiece that sits on the edge of beautiful Avalon Bay on Santa Catalina Island.

Raised in Southern California, Kenny has followed his musical path up and down the West Coast beginning in the 1970's. Originally a part of the duo Loggins and Messina, he has continued to perform and record as a solo artist and has written hits for many other artists.

Highlights throughout his career include Danny's Song, A Love Song, Celebrate Me Home and another signature song, Whenever I Call You 'Friend', a duet with Stevie Nicks. Throughout the '80's and '90's, Kenny has also reigned as one of the most successful movie theme song composers of his era, with massive hits including I'm Alright (Caddyshack), Danger Zone (Top Gun), Nobody's Fool (Caddyshack II), the Oscarnominated Footloose (Footloose) and For The First Time (One Fine Day).

On his latest album, 2007's How About Now, the two-time Grammy Award winning superstar comes home to the soulful, roots-centric singer-songwriter tradition that first made him a household name.
