Cutting his teeth playing in the bands of both Duke Ellington and Miles Davis as a young man, Garrett has pursued an acclaimed career that's included jazz supergroup The Five Peace Band. One of the world's finest alto sax players, Garrett has exceptional breadth of vision yet never sacrifices his post-Coltrane sax sensibility and technical edge.
