New York vocalist Kendra Shank is considered "one of the most interesting, creative jazz singers of her generation" (All About Jazz). Her 5 critically acclaimed CDs have won numerous “Best of the Year” awards and landed her in the DownBeat polls. Shank’s inventive phrasing and in-the-moment ensemble interplay, coupled with the rhythmic and harmonic innovations, “virtuosity and sheer musical wit” (Time magazine) of Grammy-nominated pianist Geoffrey Keezer, will make this a unique musical event. Their previous collaboration, along with bassist Hamilton Price and drummer Zach Harmon, received a rave review in Jazz Times
"Ms. Shank is a risk taker who ventures fearlessly onto the high wire. ...Her jagged phrasing, willingness to stretch and manipulate time and her refusal to resolve phrases in conventional ways give her singing genuine originality. ...one of the most interesting, creative and promising jazz singers of her generation." -Mathew Bahl, ALL ABOUT JAZZ
