Author Kelly McMasters will read from and sign her new book WELCOME TO SHIRLEY: A Memoir from an Atomic Town, which depicts her childhood in Shirley, NY, a run down service town to the glittering Hamptons where 3 working nuclear reactors resulted in a cluster of breast, thyroid, and lung cancer in the area. Still, with pollution problems in the air and water, and many surrounding loved ones dying of cancer, Kelly was still able to find the beauty in her hometown.
