Performing for the first time in the Bay Area that night, Ethiopian-Israeli hip-hop artist Kalkidan Mashasha who is the subject of several of Kehinde Wiley’s portraits in The World Stage: Israel, comes to the Museum direct from Israel to share his hard hitting beats and rhymes. Then Israeli Freestyle Champion DJ Alarm spins international tunes to keep the party jumping.
