Join poet Afua Cooper, radio producer Nick Davis, writer/broadcaster Dalton Higgins, author Rinaldo Walcott, poet Boonaa Mohammed and dub poet D'bi Young as they kick off a month-long celebration of the diverse voices of African-Canadian artists, writers and performers.
Two exhibits will be on display at this event, prepared by the City of Toronto’s Culture Division:
- A Glimpse of Black Life in Victorian Toronto, 1850-1860
- The Black Press in Canada West
