Computers and approved consumer electronics can be prevented from ending up in landfills by dropping off at our Electronics Recycling facility in Atlanta, GA.
From 9:00 am to 3:00pm, there will be a drive-through recycling center set up to accept items like PC's, laptops, and some other electronic items.
According to Solid Waste Project Manager Hussein Dohadwala, personal information on the items is safely erased during the recycling process. He does recommend, however, that people erase as much as they can before bringing the items to the event.
The event is designed to prevent unwanted electronics from taking up space in landfills.
All Consumer electronics except televisions will be accepted at the facility.
These include computer equipment like PC systems, tablet pcs, LCD/TFT, CPUs, monitors, mice, keyboards, printers, scanners, laptops, modems, hard drives, speakers, power cords, cables, phones, power strips, desktop copiers, fax machines, game consoles, electronic toys mother boards, processors, memory, UPS, batteries stereo systems and cell phones.
Unapproved items include televisions, microwaves, electronic equipment containing hazardous chemicals, small refrigerators, stoves, appliances, aluminum cans, cardboard and paper.
