Kayaking at Oleta River State Park October 14, 2007

When: Sunday October 14,9 am at Oleta River State Recreation Area

What: This area is one of the premier kayaking trails in South Florida. Explore the scenic Oleta River and all the wildlife that abounds there. We will stop for a break an picnic lunch along the way. Expect about four hours of moderate paddling. Tandem (two-person) kayaks are available if you prefer.

Directions: Take I-95 to NW 167 St (SR 826) east, toward Miami Beach. Go several miles, continue past Biscayne Blvd (US 1) for about a half mile, and turn right into the park. Meet in the parking lot next to the bike /kayak rentals

Bring: hat, sunscreen, bug spray, brown bag lunch, water bottle, money for dinner afterward, change of clothes & towel
