Renowned for her exceptional romantic and poetic expressiveness, Moscow-born pianist, Katya Grineva, is an award-winning performer who has played at the Carnegie Hall for 11 consecutive years.
Having played the piano since the age of five, the Steinway Artist has honed her skills to perfection. Music produced by Katya’s dexterous fingers have been hailed as “lyrical…exquisitely refined…” and “liquid, dreamlike”, it is no wonder that her recitals have captivated many audiences that she has played for.
Having performed in many parts of the world, this is Katya’s debut performance in Singapore, and will be playing for one night only. She will be performing a selection of music from the rediscovered piano sonatas of Marcel Tyberg, a Viennese composer who died in the Second World War, and whose music scores were thought to have vanished along with his death during the holocaust.
Grineva will also perform her interpretations of Schubert, Liszt, Satie, Bloch, Granados, Piazolla and Ravel.
