Kathleen Whitten Book Signing - "Labor of the Heart" March 30, 2008

A very special launch party for local author and friend of Wordsmiths Kathleen Whitten's Labor of the Heart. Wordsmiths Books and Taylor Trade Publishing present the inaugural event for Kathleen Whitten's heartfelt tome on the question of adoption, Labor of the Heart. As would-be parents cycle through the adoption process, they balance anxiety and fear with the life-altering decision of adoption. The emotional toll of this dance can be completely overwhelming and can confuse parents while navigating the decisions of how to expand their families. Utilizing extensive research and the author's own experience, Labor of the Heart does not gloss over the realties of the adoption process, but rather leads parents through the many stages and emotional impacts the process involves.

To celebrate Kathleens work, and to welcome her readers (and everyone) into our new space on the Decatur Square, free food and drink will be provided, as well as gift bags courtesty of Avondales own Sweet N' Sinful. Join us for a wonderful, touching book launch afternoon, with free food, drinks, and giveaways celebrating Kathleen Whitten at Wordsmiths, on our first Sunday in our new location.
