Winner of the Best Live Act at the BBC2 Folk Awards, Kate has built up a reputation for having a voice (and a sense of humour) that's easy to fall for. She's cut through all the usual silly notions about genres and musical barriers, performing 'folk music for people who don't like folk music'.
