Karl and Margaret Kohn, music for two pianos February 13, 2010

The Kohns have shared a long and illustrious career as duo-pianists in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Japan. Their repertoire includes most of the music composed for two pianos and for piano-four hands, with special emphasis on the Twentieth century. Their program includes Steve Reich’s piano phase (1967), Karl Kohn’s Dream Pieces (1983), Georgy Ligeti’s Three Pieces (1976) and John Adams’ Hallelujah Junction (1998).
