The Kansas City Jazz Orchestra celebrates its new home by dedicating its first performance at Helzberg Hall to the memory of "The Count." The years the jazz icon spent in Kansas City shaped the sound that eventually epitomized the jubilant power of big band swing, Mahogany, one of the most gifted vocalists of his generation, will join the festivities.
