K. Sridhar is a master of the sarod, a plucked-string instrument of great complexity. Born in south India, he is the rare artist who is equally at ease playing Carnatic (south Indian) as Hindustani (north Indian) music. His compositions reflect the spiritual teaching he received from his beloved Sufi mentor and which imbue his music with a profound, mystical quality. K. Sridhar will be accompanied by tabla virtuoso Anindo Chatterjee.
