This is an informational gathering and recruitment of new members who believe that the North Carolina State Bar's disbarment of the former district attorney from Durham County, NC was unjust. At the meeting there will be presentation of new evidence regarding the infamous Duke lacrosse case. Go to conference room 120, first floor to attend.

This is a joke right? I might show up to this event just to make a stinky mess on the carpet. This sounds like it would end up being a Black Panther circle jerk. Who in there right mind would support this idiot anyway? Being a district attorney isn't a job that you only have to do 90 percent of the time. It's a job that requires 100 percent just and ethical decision making everyday. The same goes for judges, state reps, senators, or any public official for that matter. If you can't keep your head on straight when it comes to serving the WHOLE public and you instead pander to an angry mob looking for quick justice then you don't deserve the position or my taxpayer dollars. There are plenty of people ready to take his place and I'm glad that someone did. I'm going to show up and sell shirts with the following logos: “Nifonged - adj. 1. To be unjustly prosecuted by a politically motivated District Attorney. 2. The railroading or harming of a person with no justifiable cause, except for one's own gain.” And front:“What does Mike Nifong and a windmill have in common?” Back: “they both suck and blow” with a caricature of a Nifong-Windmill hybrid structure on the back of the shirt.

Apparently the two above are ignorant. I personally feel that something happened that night. The lacross players took advantage of this poor girl and raped her aginst her will. why else would she press charges....for the attention? two wrongs don't make it right. if these girls were so called drug addicts, then you can best believe the rapist were doing drugs as well....I mean just think about it. This girl arrived to this location because these losers had to have called them, or did they magically appear? this is just plain common sense. This girl had no money, had a rough upbringing and the media did a good job of trying to sabotage her. Although she did what she did to get money or for whatever reason, she did not deserve to be raped and ridiculed. Just becasue these idiots parents had a few dollars, they all walked. Picture if this poor girl was white, and the suspects were black, they would have been in jail, I must call it like I see it. It has always been and still is about who you know in society. Nifong did the right thing trying to help this girl, but it appears to me she was embarrased and wanted it to be over, she just gave up and this is why Nifong is in the situation he is in. He basically was backed into a corner...with that being said, the two idiots who posted those ridiculous comments are racist-you have proven it. But that's ok, because ya'll one that one, and in return we got OBAMA! and you got to deal with it, so I can understand your pain and frustration...lol. My president is BLACK! Now BLACK PANTHER that. Nifong keep your head up, the black community is behind you at the end of the day--you see what happens when we come together, a black man is elected as President. Have a good one! And for the record, no I am not racist, but I really wish those silly kids would have went to prison, because we all know something happened.

To the previous comment, I must say that you reveal your own racism in your remarks. The real victims in the Duke Lacrosse case were the falsely accused, not the accuser. Her lie was revealed not only because she repeatedly changed her story, and her friend revealed that she was lying, but also because the real VICTIMS had airtight alibis. I believe that it was the bitterness of her own racism that led her to cause misery to these guys.
And for the record, Obama was elected (happily) because so many white folks voted for him. He couldn't have been otherwise. We live in a society where whites have come around to an inclusive view for the most part, as his election demonstrates. Unfortunately, we can't say that for bias-motivated blacks like yourself, whose bullying attitude, so common in your culture, is apparent in your written comment.

When someone prefaces an argument about rape by saying "I personally feel that something happened that night" and then proceeds to bungle through their entire argument with a tirade of logical fallacies and circumstantial/irrelevant pretenses unrelated to the facts of the case - then I could see why you would support Crystal Mangum and Nifong. No, you're not a racist, you're just a finger sniffer like Al Sharpton - which is about the same thing. Who in their right mind insists that people go to prison when there is a mountain of evidence, scientific and otherwise, proving the innocence of the accused and contradicting the accuser's story anyway? Wow! LOL Haha. The only thing they are guilty of is hiring ugly strippers. Unbelievable! I’m showing everybody I know this event listing – what a joke. Mr. Nifong , we as a community let you down, you only did what you thought was right. You have fought for the least of us too long to decide to just screw up. Duke university should never allowed adult entertainment to have been a part of any University event, team party or Prayer Breakfast. Weed, alcohol and naked women will get this same mess every time. No one was looking for the truth here, only you Mr. Nifong seem to want proper justice for all involved. The bottom line these parents did not want their kids to got to jail for a sex crime. These folks had the resources to make that happen. Sad, but true. Again, we as a community let you down. Nothing, nothing you did was wrong.

The truth is that prosecuting rich white kids from Duke for raping an African American was a political goldmine for Nifong. He used that girl. These players were obnoxious punks who are no angels, my guess is they treated this girl like crap, but there was no evidence that they raped her

If the alleged victim had been white, and the accused black, Nifong would never have prosecuted them. He needed an issue which would make the racist black leaders of Durham like him and support him. Without that support, he would have lost the election for Durham DA in 2006. Prosecuting black men for raping a white woman would never have gotten him that support.

give it up! this guy got what he deserved.Only a fool with a death wish and a mental problem would try to prosecute a case like that.look at the two drug addicted hookers that tried to make the claim of hapless victim.he's disbarred,unemployed and about to be fleeced in civil court,deservedly!!maybe those pinheads at duke can hire him as a washroom attendant. after all he put that college on the world's most stupid list.
