JUST FUN! "OLD SKOOL FRIDAYS" Marilyn's With Karaoke that doesn't SUCK! August 12, 2011

TONIGHT Party With OLD SKOOL with Freestyle and just the right amount of the newer stuff! We started in the South Bay with back in 1999 and we are still doing it, now at the Silver Dollar with the same K.J.(K.J. Beer, that came from M.C. Serge). but, with a twist. We've added a little Karaoke, no dress code, NO COVER, Cheaper Drinks and it works! Everybody gets in the act and it's just a lot of fun WITHOUT THE CRAP!! Better sound, great lighting, large Party floor, some faces you'll recognize if you used to go there a few years ago AND now everybody gets in the act!! It's now called "Marilyn's"

What makes this karaoke bar different from the rest is that everyone has respect here. You can be the worst singer in the world and no one will laugh at you. I recognized some of the locals from our last visit. Just as fun as the last time, I ran into an ole' buddy that joined us and got us some shots. We were having a blast, listening to some fun tunes and tripping out on the acts of performances on the stage. DJ Mike "Beer" was as welcoming as can be. He made sure to balance out the song requests from everyone, which I didn't mind waiting at all. He goes out of his way to let you know you're on deck and will even hand you the a live mic to be on standby.

GREAT ATMOSPHERE ! CHEAPEST DRINKS IN SAN DIEGO ! Over all I LIKE ! Sound System is amazing considering the size of the place, amazing light show, I will be back

Cool little Karaoke bar. The karaoke set up was pretty cool! I wish I could sing like some of those peeps. You also meet some pretty cool people at the bar while you are waiting.

I think I found my new close to home spot. This is the place to go for cheap drinks, let me rephrase that, cheap and STRONG drinks. After I ordered a Vodka Soda Water the bartender said to me "Did you want more Soda Water in that?" My drink wasn't even bubbly. The singers here vary, there are some regulars. If you come on the right night you might even catch the group of guys that do routines to their songs, very entertaining.

This bar is great and very "cheers" everyone knows each other and the people are nice. They have the most recent collection of songs!

Awesome, fun and great atmosphere, good cheap drinks (I don't drink beer:). Fun nice people! Free off street parking in back:)
