Junior Dash at Magellan Half Marathon Sunday! May 16, 2010

The 2nd annual Magellan Development Chicago Spring Half Marathon features a Junior Dash and plenty of family fun. Activities include Half Marathon (for more information go to Sports Category), 10K run (soldout), and the Junior Dash, followed by a post-race picnic in beautiful LakeShore East's 6-acre park (including dog park, water elements, free wi-fi access, playground and more!). Participants 12 years of age and younger will have their chance to compete in the popular 'Junior Dash' following the 10K award ceremony at 9 a.m. Lakeshore East Park offers direct access to the lakefront path for the race. The race will be staged in the following age group heats (age as of 5/16/10): 2-4 years - 50 yards • 5-6 years - 1/4 mile • 7-12 years - 1/2 mile Each participant will receive a finisher ribbon. The Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute is the official charity. This popular event is run by CAPRI Events, organizers of the Chicago Triathlon.
