As one of the Port of Benton's 50th Anniversary celebrations, Benton City's fifth annual June Jamboree music festival is sure to be a great day to bring the whole family out for an early Father's Day celebration in the park. There'll be live music all day, as well as craft vendors, food, and kids activities. The event will be held Saturday, June 14 in the City Park, 806 Dale St. from 2 to 10 pm. Featured bands include Highway 12, the Vaughn Jensen Band, Funky Dooty, and Wet Betty.

The June Jamboree will also feature a health fair from 4:30-6:30 pm. Nursing students will be on hand to give free blood pressures checks, and coupons for free PSA (prostate) and cholesterol tests will be available for the first 50 people to visit the health fair. Fifty gift bags containing items valued at $30 will also be given away at the health fair.

At 6 pm, the wine & beer garden will open for adults 21 & over. Kiona Winery, Sleeping Dog Wines, and Whitstran Brewing Co. will offer a nice selection of their products for tasting.

Early admission to the event is free. There will be a gate charge of $5/person after 5 pm. Attendees are also requested to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the local food bank.
